July 27, 2014 — Two new names emerged from the woods to win this month’s tournament held at Summitpointe Golf Course in Milpitas. Lawrence Lua topped Division A by scoring even par 71 (88 gross) and edging runner-up Monching Dumancas by a stroke. Monching however garnered low gross honors with an 84.
In Division B, Jun Magbitang won by a comfortable 3 stroke margin over Jun Rima. The runner-up winner was actually decided by a scoreboard tie-breaker since both Jun Rima and Rico Medinafinished with scores of 77. Jun’s back nine rally sealed the win, however.
There were only fourteen players who participated in this month’s tournament. The full scores:
