This is also the year of the DLSAA’s Congress that happens every 2 years so we joined the 2 congresses in one major , once in a life-time event.

5TH UMAEL & 8TH World Congress in Manila

October 26 – 30, 2011

Theme:

One Vision. One World. One La Salle.

EVENT OVERVIEW ____________ _________ _________ _________ __

• 5 days. October 26 (Wednesday) to October 30 (Sunday)

• 3 days of Conference-Proper: October 27-29, 2011

Day 1 is FAITH day and opening,

Day 2 is SERVICE day and split DLSAA and UMAEL,

Day 3 is COMMUNION day and closing

• Shorter talks will be encouraged with increased Q & A and interaction

• Experience themed meal specially on the evening parties

• Day 5 is proposed to be a day for R&R and fun

• To be held in multiple Lasallian venues (DLSU Manila, DLS College of Saint Benilde, DLSU Dasmariñas, DLS Santiago Zobel, La Salle Green Hills)

• Welcoming of Guests via a dinner party

• Theme: OLD MANILA

• Target venue: Intramuros

• Dress code: Filipiniana

• Food: Filipino, Halal

• Multi-sectoral activity; to invite brothers, alumni, parents, students, faculty, admin.

DAY 2, OCTOBER 27, 2011 (Thursday) — Conference Day 1

Theme: Our Spirit of FAITH

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Venue: DLSU Manila, DLS – College of Saint Benilde

• Registration DLSU-Manila

• Prayer, Parade of colors, welcome address, keynote

• Coffee Break

• TALK 1: A Lasallian Association Is An Instrument Of Faith

• Buffer time

• TALK 2: Enriching Our Faith Through Diversity

• LUNCH

• Breakout

• DLS-CSB Tour

• EXHIBIT Celebrating 100 years.

• PRE-DINNER Brother’s Centennial Presentation

CENTENNIAL DINNER Party hosted by the Brothers supported by DLSAA
