March 14, 2014 — The 2014 DLS Greens Tour began this year at the rolling hills of Livermore’s Poppy Ridge Golf Club. Manny Noguera opened his 2014 campaign in style by running away with a 4-stroke win in the Division A group. Manny’s 6-under par 66 handily beat second-placer Enrique Olives‘ 70 and third placer Clem Yu’s 73 in the 8-man Division A group.
The competition in Division B proved to be tighter with eventual winner Gilbert Talavera beating by a stroke runners-up Tony Colmenares and Nutsie Maloles, who both tied at one-under 71 with the former coming out as 1st runner-up via the scorecard tie-break method. Eleven hackers were bracketed in this group to bring the total participants for the day to 19. All enjoyed pleasant spring-like weather as they gathered to renew the ever-friendly monthly competition.
