Br. Jorge Gallardo de Alba Elected Vicar General

The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools during its 45th General Chapter in Rome has elected Br.  Jorge Gallardo de Alba to the mission of Vicar General for the coming years.

Brother Jorge Gallardo was born in 1959 in the town of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. He made his final profession in 1985.

In his early years he worked as a teacher in his own country. He studied Theology in Mexico and English in California.
From 1989 to 2007 he held the roles of teacher, school director and president of the Delegation of Japan.

In 2007 he was elected Resident General Councilor in Rome, taking special responsibility in the field of solidarity and development, with a specific mission in the inter-congregational project in South Sudan.
The Institute of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and the entire Lasallian Family, congratulate Br. Jorge Gallardo and would like to offer to him our unconditional support and prayer for the new mission entrusted to him.
