July 14, 2013 — About 50 Lasallians and friends gathered for the annual picnic which was held again at the Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. The picnickers enjoyed sunny weather and the camaraderie of friends and family. Being a Sunday, they also gathered to celebrate a mass officiated by Fr. Carl Arcosa. Br. Michael accompanied Emma’s daughter in leading the congregation in singing the hymns.
DLSAANC President Irvin Sevilla and his board members Arnold Mercado, Caloy Narciso, Tom Consunji, Clem Yu, Matt Hizon and Emma Magbitang led the alumni in the gathering. Also present were former association presidents Joe Batto and Romi Beza. The picnic featured the usual BBQ, traditional Filipino food and desserts. The alumni gathered afterwards to finally have their much-delayed Lasallian Star picture, featuring no less than the beloved Br. Dominic “Aquinas” Berardelli, FSC in the middle of the formation.
